Frequently asked questions

YES. We can customize according to your needs. Our system would allow motion activated alerts to be sent directly to our in-house Real Time Operation Center (RTOC) where one of our monitoring agents will assess the situation in seconds and taking any action required.

No, Kinda, we offer a plan that is even better. No Upfront Cost. Here’s how it works. No matter how elaborate the system you choose, you simply pay monthly for a 3-to-5-year term. The monthly fee includes everything from cameras, cabling, wiring, talk-down speakers, installation, technical support, repairs and replacements, reviewing video and providing photos and videos, assistance in preparing cases for law enforcement, and best of all – real time monitoring from our operation center. One monthly fee, no hidden costs, no surprises.

Absolutely. There are a few ways we can do that. We can simply login to your existing system and conduct virtual patrols. In most cases we can utilize your current alert software so we can respond to any motion activity detected by the cameras. In some cases, we can install a server that makes your system compatible with our Milestone and Google Kite platforms.

When it comes to maintenance, support, cybersecurity patches and firmware upgrades it is important to know who has ultimate responsibility. Hunter Security will deliver comprehensive support being totally self-sufficient and does not require any third parties to support, maintain and monitor the system.

I’m sure you’re familiar with a security company sending a marked security vehicle to patrol your perimeter a few times a night. That cost less than a security guard but still expensive none-the-less. The patrol vehicle is meant to be a deterrent but there is only so much the officer can see on that patrol. But a Virtual Patrol is we patrol your business by viewing your cameras. We can do it much more often and more thoroughly. A patrol vehicle is often limited to the perimeter, but with cameras we can usually scan the entire property depending on the location of the cameras.

There are a few things we can do. If you have Talk-Down Speakers (which we provide) we will speak directly to the person or persons unlawfully on the property, warning them that they are being monitored on camera and to exit the property or in most cases not to enter the property. Ex: Hey, you in the black hoodie with the yellow bolt cutters. The speakers can also be set to say a pre-recorded message when detecting motion. We can also send one of our patrol units for suspicious activity. Now, since we can’t be everywhere at once, we sub-contract our patrol response to numerous patrol companies in all areas where we have cameras. And lastly, if there is any chance, we are witnessing a crime in progress, we contact local law enforcement. Here’s the great thing about Hunter’s operation center contacting 911, it is not treated like an alarm call where they’ll get there when they can. It is treated as a person witnessing a crime in progress and law enforcement takes that very seriously.

Oh, you better believe it. This is what makes it all worthwhile. Here is an example. We caught 3 people who broke in and when the Sheriff’s arrived they were carrying out loads of expensive product to put in the pickup truck. They were arrested. But this took place in L.A. County. This means they would have been issued a citation and released that night, even though the value of what they were stealing was 50K. Because the Sheriff’s were already familiar with Hunter Security, they woke up a judge Sunday at midnight to get permission to hold the suspects for 24 hours. Why? Cause the Sheriff’s knew Hunter would work all night and the next day putting together all relevant videos and photos along with a timeline and details of the entire event. As a result, two of the three suspects remained in custody until their court date. Wait, it gets better, The Hunter monitoring agent who witnessed the crime, testified in court. Two suspects received a multiple year sentence, and the third suspect got probation. Now, that’s great service!!

Great question! Answer, absolutely. As you may already know, if businesses get multiple false alarm calls, the city will charge ridiculous penalty fees. Instead, the alarm company calls our operation center first. The alarm company tells us the alarm zone being activated. We will have already matched what camera covers that alarm zone. We log in to your cameras and in no time at all we can determine whether it is a false alarm. If it isn’t, we notify law enforcement. And the best part is, a company rep does not have to deal with being awakened in the middle of the night for false alarms. We have customers who have hired us just for that reason.

In most instances, the cameras tell us when we need to look at a particular camera via motion alerts. If we install our system, it comes with software that alerts our operation center when a camera detects the specific motion of either humans or a vehicle. It is also very likely that your existing system has alert capabilities. If your system does not have alerts, we can usually install a server at your location that adapts to our platform. In other cases, the customer may only want virtual patrols. A virtual patrol is like a guard conducting random patrols a few times a night in a security vehicle. The difference is a virtual patrol uses cameras and is much more thorough and can be done more often and for less money.

Yes, and you should insist on it from every security company. Keep in mind, a free quote and a free consultation are not the same. A free quote is simply what a service will cost. A consultation consists of everything possible we can do to solve your security issues with one thing in mind, making sure you do not waste money. Ex: we can provide a guard for $30 an hour, but if we can do the job much more efficiently with cameras for a fraction of the price, you save money.
